The Human Element

I created this mosaic from the pictures of our church. As our theme this week is "Listen to the sound of community", we are going to talk about, yes again the our new church building and capital campaign, but more than just that. We are going to talk about that we are not simply building a building for building sake. (that's a lot of building :-) )

It is about people! It is about touching and entering into people's lives. It is about caring for people who are hurting and broken. It is about loving people for who there are, as bearing the beautiful image of our wonderful Savior. Christ's church consists of His people.

We don't serve the building, the building serves us. It is not about the brick and mortar. When you add the human element, the bricks become people, and the mortar becomes the connection we all have through the Spirit in Jesus Christ.

As you look at the plans , drawings and mock ups of the new building these next several weeks, look at them through different eyes. Use the lens of people. See people when you look at them. Because that is what it is all about...seeing lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit in Forsyth County.
