I'm a Christ Follower (Mac vs. PC Parody)

John Smulo at his blog had a post entitled, "12 Reasons Why I prefer the term Jesus follower". Of course the fundamental issue isn't the term you use to describe yourself, because what truly matters is the life lived. But some terms do certainly carry with it certain baggage and negative stereotypes. I like the term Follower of Jesus to describe my commitment to Christ, because it communicates not merely a label, but rather a sincere commitment to follow Jesus. Unfortunately, the term "Christian", has been wed so closely with Madison Avenue marketing and political agenda's, I think in the this day and age it has been bled of it's true meaning.
