God created both male and female in His own image, but God also made them unique in order to compliment each other. Praise God for our uniqueness and differences! To often society has told us that men and women are purely interchangeable, and that the only difference is our plumbing. It is always encouraging to read when culturally respected researchers finally catch on to what we, as followers of Christ, have always known and said.
I discovered this article in my daily reading which amplifies the point of the differences between the sexes. And although the wording of the article comes across as somewhat humorous, the conclusion is nevertheless true, women are more verbal than men. I live in an household of women, one wife and two (soon to be teenage) daughters and I don't need research to tell me this is true, experience has made it crystal clear. Here is an excerpt from the article:
"It is something one half of the population has long suspected - and the other half always vocally denied. Women really do talk more than men.
In fact, women talk almost three times as much as men, with the average woman chalking up 20,000 words in a day - 13,000 more than the average man.
Women also speak more quickly, devote more brainpower to chit-chat - and actually get a buzz out of hearing their own voices, a new book suggests.

You should read Deborah Tannen's books
"You just don't understand" which is about this very thing, and has a good explanation of its purpose.
Also, as a father of daughters, you should read "You're wearing that" by the same author.
She's humorous but knowledgable, and readable, so I recommend
Thanks, I have read Tannen's book, although it has been a while, but I am unfamiliar with the other book.
